'Queer Eye' star @antoni opened up to us about how the show gave him confidence what to expect from his first cookbook. Porowski’s untrained, instinct-driven approach to cooking is ultimately what makes him good at his job. He’s able to relate to a range of experiences in the kitchen, including to many people who have never really cooked for themselves before and find it intimidating. But when auditioning for the part on “Queer Eye,” he felt he was an imposter: he wasn’t a professionally trained cook, for one, and having dated both men and women, found himself questioning his place on a show celebrating queer identity.'I felt I wasn't gay enough, I wasn't a chef, I'm a home cook. But I've accepted that I'm here so I might as well take advantage of it.' Tap the link in bio for more.

Buckle up people, fashion month is going to be wild. What’s likely to be the most pressing topic is sustainability, especially with climate change reminder Hurricane Dorian creeping up the East Coast; 16-year-old Swedish environmental hero Greta Thunberg building momentum for the Sept. 20 global climate strike with her rallying cry, “The house is on fire, let’s act like it,” and Extinction Rebellion turning the heat up on the British Fashion Council.
At least, there are 150 brands that can say they have signed French President Emmanuel Macron’s Fashion Pact. But with the growing public outrage, will it be enough? Can fashion week save itself from extinction?“I'd love to see no waste or zero impact fashion shows,” said Julie Gilhart, founder of Julie Gilhart Consulting who advises brands on circularity. The 2019 Vanity Fair “Best Dressed List” is more diverse than ever. Radhika Jones' fresh perspective at the helm has added a number of first-timers to the list. A few of the firsts are definitely having a cultural moment, like Keanu Reeves, Priyanka Chopra, Billy Porter and Celine Dion. But other firsts such as Cicely Tyson, Brunello Cucinelli and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union (on the list as a couple) are a little surprising, for no other reason than they have been around for so long and looked so great that one would assume they’d made it before.
This year’s list is actually more than half people of color, also a first. “We wanted to put together a list of people approaching fashion with individuality, in ways that are personal and meaningful and also fabulous,” Jones said. “We really emphasized their own stories about what their choices mean to them.”Tap the link in bio for more. Banks said she’s been wearing the brand for many years, but the decision to sign on with the label, which is now owned by Authentic Brands Group, was more as a result of “what they stand for.” Banks will be featured in its Groundbreakers campaign, which is less about product and more about empowering women. “They’re breaking the glass ceiling,” Banks said of the brand, whose ads are “edgier” than what it produced in the past. “I was excited, so I said yes.”Tap the link in bio for more.
